Wolf Center is a special project dedicated to studying the relationship between dogs, wolves and man.  This ignited my curiosity and became an adventure I could not say no too and so on Monday, December 19th we set out early in the morning for the 3 hour drive from Prague to Austria and the rest is history. We arrived just before Noon and had to sign papers so if the wolves ate us we would be OK.  We then learned a little about how to respect the wolves, as these are NOT dogs, but highly proficient hunters even though they grew up knowing humans.  We entered the enclosure where we were given a proper introduction to Alpha Nanuk’s pack (the name is the same as the husky from Lost Boys hahah) and we met his alpha female Yukon, both American Timber wolves from Montana, so I was not the only American in the enclosure.  I learned about wolf evolution, social structure and behavior, first off these wolves are NOT dogs and should never be pets. Of course I was a little scared but these wolves are super models and are very socialized, the other packs were not so friendly and we could not enter the Black Wolf Pack enclosure with the black wolf Aragorn with stunning yellow eyes.  After the day my life changed and I fully support their work as they treat these animals with great love and respect.  If you would like to support Wolf Center with a donation or visit please check out their website at http://www.wolfscience.at.

The NYC Vampire Ball edition 14.1 entitled “The Dragon Masque” will be held on Sunday, May 9th for the shooting of a pilot for a documentary series on fangsmiths.

WHO?

Hosted by Father Sebastiaan and Victor Magnus with DJs Aengel, Xris SMack! and V.Christ will be spinning of course a belly dance performance by Jeniviva’s Mystical Hips and musical installation by Kayvon Zand.

WHAT?

The Vampire Ball “Dragon Masque” is being filmed for a special documentary and this is a special event for the show so that it does not intrude on the normal activities of the Gotham underground.  We are asking all patrons to wear masques for the purposes of anonymity and inclusion of people who would like to participate but not compromise their day lives. Also proudly wear your fangs if you have them.

This event will take place in the VAULT at Element NYC, 225 E. Houston St. NYC.

GOT FANGS?

Father Sebastiaan of SABRETOOTH will be making fangs at the FangShop NYC (at Halloween Adventure) on Saturday May 8th and 9th by appointment only.  Please send him an email at father@sabretooth.com to make your reservation.   The NYC FangShop is located in the Halloween Adventure, 104 4th Avenue, New York NY 10003.

DRESS CODE:

All participants must be in proper “courtly attire” (standard Vampire Ball dress code) for the event and you will need to sign a photo release at the door. This is mainly historical, steam punk, fetish, gothic, masquerade, costumes, burlesque and black tie.

You must be properly dressed or you will be denied entrance and admission is absolutely FREE! The Ball is 21+ with proper ID of course. Our goal is to make this even look like the Ball in Labyrinth mixed with the club in the Matrix.

Greetings all today is a sad day, Peter Steele of the legendary band Type 0 Negative has been confirmed to pass away due to heart failure. He inspired many, turned even more girls on and was a great example of Brooklyn metal!  He was cool, funny and tall as fuck! He used to hang out at the Bank in NYC and was good friends with my buddy Myke Hideous.

The last I saw him two years ago on my way to New Orleans I saw him on my flight to New Orleans for Halloween.

During my trip to Amsterdam last weekend I got the opportunity to take the Amsterdam Ghost Walk with the storyteller guide Bart (yes just like Bart Simpson). This is one of the missions I had on this trip to Amsterdam. Since it is not a regularly scheduled tour I had to take a private tour option. So I got to bring some of my friends.

We took the tour on a Sunday evening with my buds which included photographer Peter Diablo, his lady Mari, my long time friend Valeria Alexander and my buddy Erick Thelema. It was really cool as Erick had his first time in Amsterdam and the rest of us were very familiar with Adam (because I lived there almost three years from 2002-2005.

Bart was very mysterious when we met at the pub and kept his character through the 90 minutes and 8-10 stores he presented. What was most interesting is that he took the role of the characters in the stories playing out each personality. My favorite story was about a surgeon who met the Zaar of Russia and sold him his entire collection of medical oddities. Of course there were ghosts and witches, demons and lovers.

After wards we got to Tara Irish Pub where we started, which is located at 87-89 Rokin and had some drinks. Bart and I jammed about different ideas and concepts on our skills as storytellers and of course enjoyed the night with him showing us some stuff which was not on the tour! LOL

I highly suggest if you go to Amsterdam and want something different than smoking up and looking at the hookers check out this tour!

Once again we are holding on the anniversary of the 1st Vampire Ball in NYC the 14th edition on Sunday February 14th, 2010, right on Valentines Day (Vday) night.

With this new decade this event will be again at Element New York… Our home base for the last many years. This event is the sister party to the Endless Night Vampire Ball in New Orleans, which after 3 years finally was restored as one of the largest Halloween events in the city.
