NYC Vampire Ball 14.1.e (Dragon Masque)
by Father on Apr.17, 2010, under Fangsmithing, General, Travels & Adventure, Vampyres
The NYC Vampire Ball edition 14.1 entitled “The Dragon Masque” will be held on Sunday, May 9th for the shooting of a pilot for a documentary series on fangsmiths.
WHO?
Hosted by Father Sebastiaan and Victor Magnus with DJs Aengel, Xris SMack! and V.Christ will be spinning of course a belly dance performance by Jeniviva’s Mystical Hips and musical installation by Kayvon Zand.
WHAT?
The Vampire Ball “Dragon Masque” is being filmed for a special documentary and this is a special event for the show so that it does not intrude on the normal activities of the Gotham underground. We are asking all patrons to wear masques for the purposes of anonymity and inclusion of people who would like to participate but not compromise their day lives. Also proudly wear your fangs if you have them.
For examples of what we are looking to do, see the footage of the two SABRETOOTH™ commercials of what inspired FangShop on Father Sebastiaan’s Youtube page at http://www.youtube.com/fathersebastiaan.
WHERE?
This event will take place in the VAULT at Element NYC, 225 E. Houston St. NYC.
GOT FANGS?
Father Sebastiaan of SABRETOOTH will be making fangs at the FangShop NYC (at Halloween Adventure) on Saturday May 8th and 9th by appointment only. Please send him an email at father@sabretooth.com to make your reservation. The NYC FangShop is located in the Halloween Adventure, 104 4th Avenue, New York NY 10003.
DRESS CODE:
All participants must be in proper “courtly attire” (standard Vampire Ball dress code) for the event and you will need to sign a photo release at the door. This is mainly historical, steam punk, fetish, gothic, masquerade, costumes, burlesque and black tie.
You must be properly dressed or you will be denied entrance and admission is absolutely FREE! The Ball is 21+ with proper ID of course. Our goal is to make this even look like the Ball in Labyrinth mixed with the club in the Matrix.
RSVP HIGHLY ENCOURAGED!
TO RSVP FOR THE BALL please e-mail us at VampireBallNYC-RSVP@sabretooth.com or on the Vampire Ball “Dragon Masquerade” Facebook page.
SPECIAL NOTE:
Nancy Glass Productions is going to be filming the Ball for an upcoming documentary special. We’ll be picking a few interesting people from diverse backgrounds for Father to make them fangs or for them to tell their stories of how they had their fangs made.
Thank you for support and we look forward to hearing from you!
R.I.P. Peter Steele
by Father Sebastiaan on Apr.15, 2010, under Fangsmithing, General, Travels & Adventure, Vampyres
Greetings all today is a sad day, Peter Steele of the legendary band Type 0 Negative has been confirmed to pass away due to heart failure. He inspired many, turned even more girls on and was a great example of Brooklyn metal! He was cool, funny and tall as fuck! He used to hang out at the Bank in NYC and was good friends with my buddy Myke Hideous.
The last I saw him two years ago on my way to New Orleans I saw him on my flight to New Orleans for Halloween.
Please take the time to stop by the The Type 0 Negative website and give condonlenses if you are a fan or a friend.
OK I made fangs for a 60 year old baby at Burning Man!
by Father Sebastiaan on Aug.25, 2009, under Travels & Adventure
This is a big deal, my friend Gabriel (Saint Eve) got me a gig making fangs for a 60 year old baby named IKKI at the Burning Man Festival in the middle of the Nevada desert last year. But this is not what you think! The movie will premiere at the Sculpture Center, and this is a big deal!
SculptureCenter is pleased to present A Voyage of Growth and Discovery, a collaborative video installation by artists Mike Kelley and Michael Smith. The installation will include a six-channel video featuring Michael Smith’s character Baby IKKI and will be on view at SculptureCenter September 13-November 30, 2009. An opening reception will take place on Sunday, September 13, 5-7 pm.
