Greetings Father Sebastiaan here; every day I get a multitude of messages for requests for fangsmithing appearances, book signings and interviews.  Of course I would love to handle them all but unfortunately I do not have alot of clones, yet! haha.

Fangsmithing

My fangsmithing appearances take place in a variety of locals including conventions, festivals, nightclubs, private events, tattoo and alternative shops around the world.  Since there are so many requests for me to make appearances I have set up this page to help clarify what I from my hosts to do the most efficient and best possible job.

Usually I prefer to work inside for hygienic reasons, my art is a non-permanent body modification it does however involve work in the mouth. There is NO structural or chemical changes to the customer, from a hygienic perspective it is more akin to SFX makeup artist than a tattoo artist or piercer.   However, I can work outside for festivals as long as the environment is clean.

Over the years it has been proven a fangsmith is a great promotion.  People are very curious and intrigued by what I do and love to watch.  There is almost a performance and ceremonial element and an experience for each client.  So it is not only professional; it is great fun and a pleasure for me to do my job.

What I need from the host;

- All I need is a small place 2X2m2
- Two chairs
- Well ventilated, I use dental acrylics and they do smell strong.
- Power point.
- The host to take and book appointments.
- Promotions on e-lists, newsletters, posters in shop, website, Facebook invite, etc.
- Transport and accommodations vary depending on assignment.

Fang making supplies and brought with me, I have a mobile and compact kit.

Pricing is usually 99€ per pair (two teeth) of basic fangs (Lilith or Classic styles) and upwards for more complex styles.  However I sometimes adjust this according to the economic situation of the hosting area.  Depending on the business deal I usually work on the standard rate of 20% to the hosting shop/venue, however this varies according to my expenses and amount of clients booked.

For a good day I can do 10 pairs of fangs and work approximately 1 pair every 35-40 minutes.  Some examples of shops I have worked with or currently am affiliated with….

Book Signings

As an published author with several books under my belt including Vampyre Virtues and Sanguinomicon, I am often doing book signings in conjunction with fangsmithing.  This often becomes a nice promotion for the host, bringing new and interesting people.
